Cowboy Up!

So, Easton officially got bucked off a horse for the first time. My mom and Keith were visiting and watched the kids while we went to dinner. It was so nice, but when we came home, Easton's head was a little sore. We found out they had let him try to get on a horse, and his head is the result of that attempt. See picture below.

I know things are bound to happen, and I definitely know it was not my mom or Keith's fault, but I was so angry at that dang horse! I wanted to put the stupid thing out of it's misery. However, when I went to take pictures of it, I just thought it was too cute to do anything to. So, the horse will be allowed to live another day.

I LOVE THE RAIN!

So it has been raining here since last night. I loved falling asleep to the sound of the rain! Because I love the rain I created a playlist with just rain songs that I'm going to put on the blog whenever it rains. So, if I missed any good "rainy day" songs, please let me know. I would love to add them!

In other news...last night I had a freak out moment. After hearing the story, I'm sure some others out there would have too. Easton & Allie like to get water out of the bathroom sink with their little cups they use when they brush their teeth. So, last night Easton was in there getting a drink out of the sink like usual, or so I thought. He came out of the bathroom a little too proud of himself, so I followed him back to see what he was up to. When I did I started screaming, "No, No, Stop, Stop," and of course he just looked at me and smiled. He was taking his little cup and scooping water out of the toilet and DRINKING it. I guess, if I want to look at the bright side of things, Allie had actually flushed the potty after using it. PHEW!! Anyway, chalk one up for worst mother of the year!

Happy Birthday To My Favorite Sweetie!

So, Carey turned 32 yesterday. He had to work so our only celebration was having dinner and cake and ice cream. Earlier in the month he got his birthday present. An Ipod. I was tired of sharing mine. I got him one so that he could use it on his way to and from work, AND so that I can take his twangy music off mine. :) Anyway, it didn't seem right that he didn't get anything from us on his birthday, so I took the kids to the local grocery store and let them pick out something to give their dad. Allie ended up giving him a Tootsie Roll bank, and Easton gave him a windmill. It made me laugh! He also had a yellow cake with pink frosting, because that's what we had already. :) I let the kids decorate the cake with sprinkles and candles. Let's just say it was definitely an original. Anyway, I am so glad to have this wonderful man in my life. What a great husband and father!!

4 Years Already!

So, my baby girl turned 4 last week! I can't believe how much our lives have changed since we had her. She brings so much happiness to our home, and reminds me of my purpose at this time in my life. Although she is SO stubborn and fiesty, I hope those qualities pull her through the tough times that I'm sure will pop up in life. She's a great big sister and badly wants a baby sister. She's constantly telling me how my belly is getting bigger so I can have a baby soon. I wish that was the reason my belly was getting bigger. HA!! One of the funny things that she always says is "Last Day." To explain...everything happened last day, whether it was a month, week, day or hour ago. We keep trying to explain time and days, but so far it's a lost cause. I'm so glad we had Allie "last day." Our lives wouldn't be the same without her!!

We really enjoyed our time with our family. Thanks to all the Grandma's and Grandpa's for coming up and spending time with us. We love you!!

The Family Party

Even though the cake didn't turn out great, I was happy with it. It was my first time decorating a cake this way. VERY time consuming, but kind of fun.

*Allie didn't like her bear very much. Notice the face. :)
*Giving Carey's cousins, Tyler & Amanda, a hug.
*Keith LOVING his party hat!!

Bows

Some of you probably already got an e-mail, but I've decided to start selling bows to family and friends. Anyway, if you would like to check it out here is the site:
www.cheapbffs.blogspot.com
I will set up a link on this page so that you can click on it whenever. I'm really not pushing anyone to buy anything, it's mainly for those of you who don't want to make them yourselves. I hope the prices are reasonable. That was the point of doing this. So, we'll see how it goes!
